OUR STORY
The inspiration for “Got Calzoni!" Comes from a generations-old recipe that originated from Basilicata, Italy. My grandmother and mother would always make the Family Calzone around holidays. This family Calzone has unique ingredients which creates a distinctive taste that is craved morning, noon and night, warm or cold. It’s this exclusive combination of ingredients that inspires Chef Marie to create extraordinary flavor combinations to stuff Calzone and other culinary creations. No doubt that you will notice Chef Marie’s customer centric approach in creating corporate, public or private events.
Chef Marie
Chef Marie grew up in an Italian family where food equals love. She has always been a believer that the way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. Making people happy makes her happy. She was taught by her Dad (and business partner) and Nanna to cook at a young age. Even though she grew up with classic Italian food, her father also inspired a love for international and regional cuisine.
With almost 15 years of culinary experience and schooling, Chef Marie brings a world of flavor alive. She has worked the prep line, managed restaurants, and catered large events and weddings. In 2022 Chef Marie decided to branch out on her own food adventure and thus Got Calzoni! was born!
Got Calzoni! uses traditional Italian methods with Internationally inspired ingredients to create our always HANDMADE, always FRESH calzone varieties!
